Photo diary: midwinter miscellaneous

I spent the long Presidents' Day weekend happily ensconced in the Westin Harborfront Hotel in Boston -- this is as much of the city as I saw all weekend

As one does, I spent an inordinate amount of time photographing myself in the bathroom mirror, which was framed by lights that did spooky things to my pupils

Andy and I spent a fair amount of time cracking ourselves up imagining the placement of an INCONVENIENT straw hole

thanks to New York City subway signage, you too can learn to say "multitask" in Russian and Korean

some kind of decorative faux gamelan hanging in a Thai restaurant on Ninth Avenue

    How in the world should one correct the grammar if the new signs are in Korean and Russian?
